When I Said The Pledge Of Allegiance Poem by Brad Brandon

When I Said The Pledge Of Allegiance

Rating: 3.0

I pledge allegiance
To the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
One nation
Under GOD
With liberty and justice for all
You remember when I used to say this?
I always was the one saying it the loudest
But when I said it
It was a pledge
To honor my country
Uphold liberty
Uphold justice
Stand against corruption
Fight for others rights
Protect my people
The American people from hatred, violence, brainwashing, greed, and selfishness
If I don't stand for you
I've broken that pledge
I've dishonored
What our men
Who've given
Their lives for
Whether you see them or not
The crimes done against you
Are inexcusable
This is my duty
And just like our men in uniform
I must be prepared
To die for it
