When Death Comes Knocking Poem by Gita Ashok

When Death Comes Knocking

Rating: 5.0

When Death comes knocking,
it matters not
who you are
or what you've got;
how old you are
or where you belong
whether you have friends aplenty
or live in a world that's empty.

When Death comes knocking,
it matters not
what role you played
in the drama of Life;
how many cars you owned
or how many medals you won;
whether you have realized your dream
or simply lived in vain.

When Death comes knocking,
I know one thing for sure:
I'll embrace him with grace
as I embraced my Life.
With no regrets
and no unfulfilled desires
I shall hold Death's icy hand
and move on to a new land.
