When Death Arrives Poem by Nick Kler

When Death Arrives

All those feelings
Heavy words
They start to crumble

All that you hated
Those that you loved
are all left in dust

All of your dreams
And your wants
Starts to disintegrate
Right before your face

When you finally start to unwind
Into your original state of mind
Oblivious and small
Just like when you were born

Only you would know
Is it your time?
To quietly cross
Over to the other side
Just the way you had arrived
Into this world

May God be with you
Every step of the way
To hold and to guide you
Just like he did before
