When Captured Poem by Gary Grimsley

When Captured

When captured—
by the worlds of yesterday,
and the worlds of tomorrow,
When surrounded—
by quietly closing in sorrows,
When wondering if faith will bring a reward,
And questioning if Christ really is Lord,
Then, remember,
That people live lives in worlds of their own,
With walls of beliefs as their home made homes,
And quietly rest assured in the knowledge of this;
That in the midst of it all,
God is still God,
And this world is still His.
