When Ball Quit Bouncing Poem by Manonton Dalan

When Ball Quit Bouncing

march madness sleepless nights
cheers of hearts so as crowds
some cry, some soak to delights
it's all money to make and pride
after games everybody maybe tired
do their part best they could have

for those who didn't made the show
maybe fearful of what they have to do
more recruits, practice, i don't know
great business no salary cap or bonus
schools just keep on taking, greedy
because we let them to be that way

what if your ball playing stops here
would there be people left to care
sad to watch those discarded tools
abundance of better, smarter trolls
just one audience waiting spectaculars
i still have fascinations on scholars
