Whats The Use Poem by Katherine Perry

Whats The Use

Rating: 5.0

Sit back and relax
With a remote in your hand
Then turn on the news
And choose not to take a stand

Just watch and be a part
Of what the majority like to see
The latest in national news
That holds our interest in hatred and greed

While our own soldiers leave to fight
Other country's wars day and night
But we continue to create our own
With solutions still unknown

What Republicans like to say
It's better to do it their way
While Obama continues to prove
That he's making the right move

In trying hard to make life fair
For those who's cupboards are always bare
Admitting that money doesn't grow on trees
Except for the ones who own the seeds

And the one's who don't
Are the one's who won't
Stand up and make a stand
For a blue collar's right to a fair hand

For we all continue to buy into
The latest of what greed has to sell
Our eyes sold on advertising gimics
Along with the lies they choose to tell

And everyone thinks they need
What we can easily do without
But theres more power in what our eyes see
Than our feet leading us to a better route

So let us all join in and abuse
Cause we're too lazy to make a stand
And shout out saying 'whats the use'
If we can't form unity changing the ways of a
greedy man!
