What's In Eternity? Poem by Julie Smith

What's In Eternity?

Rating: 4.3

Forever and ever
The saying goes
But what's in eternity
Can it come close
To the time I'd love
To spend with you?

The seconds they go
One after the other
Until a year's passed
Without you it's a bother

If you only knew
How much I missed you
More than there are stars
To count in the sky
To be where you are
Would make eternity pass by

Eternity and Love, beautifully expressed. A very touching poem, reaching deep.

I've read 5 of your pieces, and I think I like this one the best so far. You are writing from your soul here, not just your heart. This is a very touching piece. Many poems allow us to stand outside and see what you see, but this one allows us to feel what you feel, to feel again what we have felt before. Well done! :)
