What's Human Life About At All Poem by Francis Duggan

What's Human Life About At All

What's human life about at all for many just a struggle to survive
The poor bloke has holes in his shoes, the wealthy one a mercedes drive
But at the end for all of us much the same we age and die away
There are no petals on the rose that bloomed the other day.

What's human life about at all we crave success and fame
But at the end for all of us it will be all the same
We live for awhile and then we will be gone forever more
And of Summers few can hope to see their sixty plus a score.

What's human life about at all but a great lust for power
So many dream and live just for their one most glorious hour
And though the memories are left for others for to recall
Old father time always takes care of one as well as all.

What's human life about at all the time just seems to quickly fly
It does not seem too long ago since I was a school going boy
The clocks ticks on the years have left me looking rather gray
But then when all is said and done I've had my better day.
