What's Christmas All About? Poem by Dr John Celes

The unseen God of love is born today;
The Word became flesh to redeem sinners;
The Prince of peace brings joy to earth this way;
Repentant souls reach bliss as clear winners!

The mind of God has plans for saving man;
The heart of God has boundless compassion;
Enter His Holy City, now man can;
To make the clay sacred is God's passion.

Christmas reveals God's humility much;
Christ chose a stable for His humble birth;
He wore the dress of poverty to touch
All human souls bereft of love on earth.

Immanuel, the Lamb of God is born;
All men can reach the God who made us all;
The earth has witnessed blessings on this morn;
Against all darkness, thus prevail Light shall.

Through Christ, the soul of man has always fared;
The joy of heaven will be felt and shared.
‘Have a most wonderful Christmas! '
