What Night Brings Poem by Amelia Murray

What Night Brings

Ever wonder what is actually real.
What could be the reason we feel.
Why do we sometimes not understand
and what reason is there to always stay on land.

Have you ever thought about a world beyond our reach,
something that no one can teach.
A feeling as powerful as a lightning bolt
and as strong as the strongest volts.

What about a land with the moon as its light
and now and again hearing and undesirable fight?
bring the crosses, stakes and knives,
but beware. Say goodbye to your mortal lives.

My two sharp canines are not random toys
and my eyes look past any of your decoys.
My tongue speaks like a summer breeze
and my grasp is as wide as all the seas.

The most important rule-think before you speak,
because what comes out could make you look weak.
I am not the only one with blood marked eyes
and I am not the only one roaming the skies.

Beware of who you invite into your home
and make sure that you are never alone,
or you might just lose your precious soul
and be left empty, an emotionless doll.
