without the air
filled with fresh picked flowers.
What is Love
without you there
with laughter filling the hours.
What is Love
without the caress
that excites the soul to blush.
What is Love
without,
you confess
your very being surely would crush.
For without these things
Love is staled and stern
lacking the essentials that prove,
the fullness of its flavor,
a wholesome savor
its power to make hearts move.
