What If? Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

What If?

Every blade of grass alive forever
Flowers sing in living light
Someday this dream will be true

The potters wheel brings many gifts
This short trek needs conscience
Choices on a summers night

My stranded friends are going down
Escape is an exit to eternity
The light shines in infinite honesty

Trees with roots deep by the river
Golden choices toward the call
Love shines in every oak leaf

Silence radiates in timeless roses
Water flows into kingdoms of life
The table is set for the broken heart

Talk to the great Spirit, he waits
This shame will pass very soon
What if there really is eternity?

What if you can really know truth?
What if it is subjective and intuitive?
What if love can really touch you?

What if you really have a soul?
