What I Hear At Christmas Poem by Meg Harrison

What I Hear At Christmas

Instead of the silver bells and songs that we sing
hear the voice of the angel appearing
and hear what Mary said to her on that day
and Jesus was below with us on earth
so hear the first cry of an infant at birth
listen to the gospel on sunday

NowI hear a child asking saint nick for a special gift on christmas day
then I hear him say Ho ho ho
Santa put wrapped toys under the christmas tree
while no one is roaming around especially you and me.
Santa loves Jesus too and that what we all know.

Now I cherish the moment I hear children wake up in the morning
they say saint nick came last night.
We are giving a present to someone else
I hear the sound of ripping wrapping paper off their gifts
I see a smile on someone else
I hear children laughing while playing with a special toys
because we love others as we love ourself as much as we love jesus
And we know Jesus brought us many joys
