What I Cause Poem by Lilly James

What I Cause

They're fighting over me again
I want to yell I want to scream
They don't want me, No one does
They yell send her away
I have no where to go
This is supposed to be my home
I don't have one anymore
My mother hates the girl I've become
I don't think my dad has ever liked me
I'm sick of crying myself to sleep
They're fighting over me again
My step dad says wait she almost sixteen
They talk as if I don't have a say
I'm just the familys secret as long as
No one finds out that I'm not wanted
They're fighting over me again
I should just leave everyone
I should run as far as I can
Learn to forget where it is I came from
I hear them yell I hear them scream
I want to run far far away
They're fighting because of me again
