What I Cast Away As Not Poem by The Little Wise Doll

What I Cast Away As Not

Why is this building up inside of me?
This animosity, it will not stop.
I guess I shant forget,
What I cast away as not.
It wracks my brain around in circles
So painful to even think.
Because I lost something I thought important to me
That I foolishly thought I could keep.
I guess I'm just optimistic,
An optimistic fool that is.
To think that I could win a battle,
In which my fate was sealed.
So the outside battle's all over
That door is tightly shut and locked.
Now to turn to that open door,
Whose battle has yet to be fought.
This battle to forget,
What I cast away as not.
