What Happens Behind Closed Doors (Lies The Child In Me) Poem by Jasmine Thompson

What Happens Behind Closed Doors (Lies The Child In Me)

Out in public
she's a lady

She's repectful
and kind

Her daughter and her
seem happy together

You could never tell
how distant they are

Her daughter can't confide in her
Shes ashamed of who she is

This girl ain't special
she's just scared

Her mother knowing her would be the end
this girl don't need another friend

Behind her closed door she will stay
never to come in the sun to play
