WHAT GIFT I BRING

Down the corridors of time
Through halls of history
Comes that blessed gospel theme
Jesus died for me
Heaven's music filled the earth
As angel choirs sang
And in the hearts of men who heard
Truly joybells rang

For unto us that day was born
Born of virgin birth
Jesus Christ our Lord's dear Son
Come to dwell on earth
Deity to humanity
God come in fulness of time
Salvation as His offering
No other gift so sublime

Obedient to His Father's will
He offered willingly
To present His body a sacrifice
To die for you and me
His cradle life so swiftly past
His ventures as a man
Revealed the heart of Father's love
To save us fallen men

Raise the dead, heal the sick
Cause the blind to see
Dumb men hear, lame men walk
What blessed jubilee
What could top that proffering
What more of Kingly treasure
Why full forgiveness for our sin
He giveth without measure

What gifts we bring to offer Him
We dually do our part
No greater gift that we could bring
Than to offer Him our heart
Bow down and worship Christ the Lord
Worship Him today
For unto us this child was born
To turn our night to day

Sin in all its magnitude
Stands fast to take its toll
But whosoever believes on Christ
Is made completely whole
For in the Son God loved the world
And showed His Father heart
That whosoever believes on Christ
His gift! Eternal Life! He imparts
