What And Who You Are Poem by Elizabeth Tyrrell

What And Who You Are

The sea can be beautiful,
The sea can be harsh.

The forest can be a glorious place,
The forest can be a horrid place.

The night can be full of happiness,
The night can be full of sadness.

Everything can be one thing,
Everything can be another thing.

It just depends on who's looking.

You can be sweet,
You can be cruel.

You can be kind,
You can be rude.

You can be persuasive,
You can be naïve.

You can be wonderful,
You can be awful.

You can be inspirational,
You can be a drag.

You can be cute,
You can be ugly.

You can be happy,
You can be sad.

You can be mine,
You can be someone else's.

As long as you're who you want,
As long as you're who you can be,
I'll always love you,
Even if you're not with me.
