What Am I When The Music Stops? Poem by Cati Walthall

What Am I When The Music Stops?

What Am I
When the music stops playing
When the reality of life sets in
And my life is spinning
What Am I
When the problems of this life twirls around me
And the music isn't here to come to the rescue
Or When I'm lost
And nothing is making sense
What Am I
When the yells for help are deafening
But there's no headsets to cover their yells
and there's nothing I can do
But to chime in with you
What Am I
When My fear is great
And you're not here to calm me
Nor is a calming song here by me
What should I do?
What will I be?
Nothing but some dust in the wind
Or a wave in the sea

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Just a thought I had tonight... My life is so devoted to music, and all that it offers, and my life music be 98% music... atlease anyways... and what if I never had this? What if I one day just lost the ablity to hear or play music... who would I be?
