What A World Poem by mudashiru shittu yomi

What A World

While I am in the office in the morning in Lagos,
Someone, somewhere in London is preparing for work.
A Newyorker is still sleeping
Moscow is preparing for lunch.
We don't all sleep at the same time even when we love each other.
We don't all eat together even when we have vowed.
Life goes on even when after death.
We will not all be together in the next worlds.

Amazing, the world we live in! Sometimes, when I see someone driving in one direction and I, in the opposite direction, and someone else turns right, another left, I just wonder where we are all going - each to his or her separate world, perhaps with little to share between us. Great write.

How nicely you have penned it all...simple words yet the picture they create is so vivid...survival with each other yet away from each other..the world must not wait..and so nor do the humans...

A bit of the real and a bit of spirituality well wound to bring in that soulful feeling of diversity in unity. Thanks. arya
