What A Beauty (Rianato) Poem by Maselo George

What A Beauty (Rianato)

Alone there she stood
How perfect she was I cannot explain
From a distance I admired
What a beauty she was,
The most beautiful in the universe
Deep inside I felt a new feeling
A feeling not driven by lust but love

Her name couldn't betray the beauty
Rianato the most elegant name of them all
Never did I believe in love at first sight
Till the day I saw her stand so graciously
For an angel I could mistake,
Rianato a princess she must be

Her presence was gracious
Her body was elegant
But it was the truth in her eyes that spelled the beauty of her soul Which made her the loveliest I had ever seen
My heart skipped beats As I wandered and thought to myself
When she spoke in me a new me was born

A sound so gorgeous, which I had not known to be
Flowed from her lips
And when we said goodbye
To me it was painful
But joy engulfed me knowing she will always be there for me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I dedicate this poem to the most beautiful girl in the world. Meeting her inspired me to realize love is never in vain. I will forever remember the Carmel derby of 2014 because it was in this occasion I met Martha and in my heart she will forever remain.
