Were Once Upon A Darkened Night Poem by Phillip Robertson

Were Once Upon A Darkened Night

i dreamt you know
once upon a darkened night
i dreamt of the stars
so close i could feel the warm aura of them tingling my skin
i dreamt of the sky
so clear and bright
so colourful and yet so plain
i dreamt of the trees
whistling in the wind like birdsong
magneficient branches so textured and solid
i dreamt of the lakes
so calm and quiet with fish most peaceful in their sleep
i dreamt of the buildings
the dazzling concrete jungle i call home
i dreamt of you and me
and do you know what?
i had never slept so well in ages
