Weird Poem by Suki Nakamura

nuns getting pregnant
priests having children
not married nor marrying
and will never be married
for all their empty times
single women not having
any children or childless
rich couples not opting
for adoption or poor
people having so many
children opting for the
harsh choice of abortion
or killing their own kids
or selling them when
they grow up to prostitution
wives finally leaving their
husbands and husbands
philandering still despite
the guilty feelings....
weird but true.
all these, real as they are
(mock us, and do i hear
the gods laughing?)
