Pawn at sea,
Whether I flow to a destiny preordained,
Or simply where the river takes me,
Regardless of the path, I need, at best,
To shed weight to keep afloat,
Reduce myself to rise,
And the deeper I go within, emptying the load, the lighter I am,
More geared, buoyed to traverse the length existence has drawn,
And also should I not reach my nothingness, my buddhahood,
A raised consciousness would probably keep me awake,
Till such time that the currents devour me,
When I shall be no more!
