Weekends Poem by Kevin Seales

Weekends

It's friday it's friday it's friday again
I have been waiting since I don't know when
They say it's coming, it's just around the bend
But in just three days we start over again

Tomorrow is special because there's no school
It's saturday I think i'll go swim in my pool
I think that you think that I am a fool
Because of the water, you say it's too cool

I'm taking advantage of my weekend day
I work all week, I got no time to play
So listen to all of the things that I say
If not then please please go, go away

I only have one more free day to go
And sunday is it, if you did'nt know
They say on the news that it just might snow
And if it does, my flowers wont grow

But look at the bright side of winter being near
The snow in your yard, the tracks from the deer
Thanksgiving and christmas will soon be here
The weekends are longer, so you can all cheer
