Wedding Day
As I wake up my first thought is…
"Today I become his wife…
I am so excited to start the first day
Of our new life."
While they are doing my hair
And my reflection with a smile looks back at me…
I wonder to myself…
Do I make him this happy?
As they do my make up
And make me look my best for you…
I thank God in a short prayer…
For giving me my love that's true.
As we drive to the church
And I look at my bouquet…
I smile to myself…
Because I know today's the day.
Today's the day we pledge our love
Today's the day we give the past a shove…
Today's the day we start anew
Today's' the day I start my life with you
As they give me my que
To walk down the aisle…
I forget everything…
The moment I see your smile.
As you step up, hold my hand,
And take your place at my side…
I know that that's where you'll always be…
In life's crazy ride.
As we look into each other's eye's
And declare our undying love…
I couldn't help it my heart gave a dance…
And sent a thank you to above
Because…today's the day we pledge our love
Today's the day we give the past a shove…
Today's the day we start anew
Today's' the day I start my life with you
So now I want to thank you…
My wonderful soul mate…
Because without your love for me…
We would not have an anniversary date
