Webmistress Of The Deep Poem by Pirate Girl

Webmistress Of The Deep

Captain Cur suggested that I should greet
the notorious Webmistress of the Deep
Underground Poetry’s subconscious link
to vocabularies curt inner speech
of poetic meter and rhyming verse
or iambic pentameter’s rigid curse
where freestyle debarks the classic strain
misunderstanding Shakespeare's quip refrains
or unbearable bearing of one’s soul,
is chicken soup really balm in a bowl?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The Webmistress of Deep Underground Poetry caught a pirate impersonating the Captain and had him walk the plank. The imposter not the Captain. Although I am not really sure because I have not seen the Captain in some time. Well it seems the imposter won a trophy for one of the Captain's poems. The Captain cannot get the trophy because it was not a legitimate entry. Boo hoo, serves him right for being so nasty to me most of the time. Won't give me the rum. Just a thimble full I beg, just an eyedrop measure, just let me lick the bottom of the cask. Anywho, this is my way of saying thanks. I guess I could of just said thanks and saved myself a lot of effort.
Thank you DU Webmistress, that was easy.
