We Will Find A Way Poem by Okoemu Barnabas

We Will Find A Way

Deep down in Nigeria,
I know you are somewhere
I close my eyes,
You are beside me,
When I open my eyes,
You are far away
Yes, we'll find a way somehow

Even when distant is tearing us apart
Even when language is dividing us,
Even when tradition speaks in her loudest,
We will find a way some how

All I know is,
It is only a matter of time
No matter what you are,
You physical appearance matters not,
Let tongue wag
We will find a way somehow

Deep down bottom of my heart,
I know I love you
If by way of this or that
Action of any sort
I am lacking or you are,
Sure, we will find a way somehow

To you I love,
In my arm I dream you lay for rest,
Singing to you love songs
Of 2face, R-Kelly, Lucky Dube
Wait a minute, you like that of Michael Jackson?
Whichever way, we will find a way somehow.

I am older than you with ten years,
Or you are older than me with four years,
I am intelligent and talented than you
Or you are, what will they say?
Let them say; we will find a way somehow

Let it be you are ugly
You are a terror in the kitchen
Let it be you wash clothes like a baby
Or bathe like a baby
Or I in retrospect; maybe!
And the will say,
Sure! We will find a way somehow

I love you,
I know I do, even when you doubt
That I don't call like others,
Or... Like others,
Truth is, I love you
And if that will be an obstacle,
Be calm.
We will find a way somehow.

I am in-love!
Am I in-love?
