We Trudge Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

We Trudge

For
The sake of it
We go
We trudge
To go away
From drear
And dreary day.

Benighted sounds
Clanking and
Rattling as the
Bones of ancient
Skeletons go round
And neigh as
The wind neighs
And round
And round.

For
The sake of it
We go
We trudge
To go away
From drear
And dreary day.
