We Start Life With A Cry Poem by Royston Allen

We Start Life With A Cry

We start life with a cry
and end it with a sigh
as with our closing breath
we enter into death
bidding this world goodbye
our soul then soar so high
to meet with our maker
our Lord and creator.

I'm so glad that I know
when it's my time to go
Jesus will walk with me
through death's darkest valley
and together we'll soar
to that heavenly shore
and I'll not be alone
standing before God's throne.
