We Shape Our Future
Inspired by my friend Terry Turner.
We shape our future
by what we’ve done in the past.
We write our destiny
by the conduct of our youth.
They say a leopard
never changes his spots
and we are much the same.
Our behaviour is controlled
by what we’ve done before.
We can try to change
but it’s harder than you think.
We’ve already shaped ourselves
with the good and the bad.
