We Need Women To Lead Poem by Francis Duggan

Like a leaderless flock we are losing our way
We do need good leaders in the World of today
And since to violence many of them seem all too inclined
Not many good leaders amongst the male kind
A good and caring woman is all we do need
On the pathway to peace us she surely would lead
For women far less aggressive than men as a whole
The very good woman has got a great soul
Women as leaders better than men by far
A good woman never would lead us to war
The praises of aggressive male leaders some do love to sing
But the male ego can be a destructive thing
Of angry male leaders we do not need more
We need women to lead us now more than ever before.
