An old civilized land on earth,
Has all climates on its path,
A hot summer at one part,
Flood on the other part,
Freezing snow on its top,
Greens of paddy fields,
rows of barren mountains,
virgin jungles,
ever flowing rivers,
dried up rivers,
left with sands,
Lakes and ponds,
soil of various colors,
scorching deserts and
silent plateaus,
What else do we need,
on a land?
We have everything,
to be proud of.
Our culture and our religion.
We have everything,
to keep as treasure.
Our culture and the customs.
We have everything,
that a nation really needs.
Our small fertile land and water.
We have something,
more than needed,
stomachs that are empty.
Worries that are plenty.
This is a poem as clear and effective as should be, V.S. The last 2 lines bring the poem to a dramatic conclusion and indeed skilfully subverts everything that has gone on before. Great poem.

With India warming up to take it place as the world's fourth largest economy, it has become apparent that India is endowed with great potentials. Really an insightful patriotic composition well penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing, Veeraiyah.
