We go through life searching
putting all the pieces of the puzzle together
We meet many people
form relationships
some platonic
others more personal
Then we get older
we understand things so much better
We become more selective
in who we invite into our hearts and lives
for valuable lessons were learned from past mistakes
we start to like ourselves a little more and realize
that lost opportunities weren't bad after all
that we needed to travel on this road
to have this new insight
and we acknowledge the good and the bad experiences
knowing at last it was all part
of a bigger picture
we had to discover on our own
to complete our journey to a better life...
