We Are Together Poem by Manonton Dalan

We Are Together

i am trying to erase fossils
from the walls for that long
soap and towel might do trick
shadows i can't remove; steady
more vibrant when light is off
yes they're coming thru blinds

there's this shadow holding bars
i won't be like her, a somebody
looking out, pretending to be free
i see her every time i open blinds
i have to so i will be with her
now she's with me looking at moon
