We Are The Children Poem by Juan Olivarez

We Are The Children

We are the children of the spirit in the sky
No matter Where your politics lié.
No matter where on Earth you récide.
We are all his children, this you cannot deny.

Whether you are black, yellow, or red, white or brown, like me,
The spirit in the sky, created us all, you and me.
Whether you live on a mountain, or across the sea,
The spirit in the sky made us, and set us free.

We are all brothers, the spirit made us all.
You can see his work in the leaves of fall.
You can hear his voice in the trees when he calls,
We are all brothers, one and all.

There are many names that we know him by,
But names on the wind, just tend to fly.
One human race you cannot deny, our native brothers call him,
The great spirit in the sky.

Yes, there is a Spirit controlling and directing the universe and all its creation.... We call Him God... though different people call him by different names.. Everyone on the Earth is brother and sister irrespective of caste and colour! This is the greatest realization! Beautiful poem with a great message! !

this unifying spirit of one universal humanity still sadly remains to be achieved.
