We Are Sailing Towards 'Heart Of Darkness' Poem by Atif Saqi

We Are Sailing Towards 'Heart Of Darkness'

All of us are "Marlow"'s avatar
Towards a dark sea, sailing our car

Beside the shore we obey the rules
But in the deep sea, act like fools

As in the light making sins we tread
But in the dark to our sins we bread

Seen in the day, we're heroes of the land
Caught in the dark fall like walls of the sand

Enlightened among us live in heart of darkness
Savage seem just small part of darkness

Instead of pulling humanity out of wickedness
We are sailing towards "Heart of Darkness"

We need to elevate the men into mirrors
Else we'll become "Kurtz", spitting upon our spirits.
