We Are Rats Poem by Ilme SonCries

We Are Rats

We are the test result in someone’s big experiment
We’re laboratory rats in someone’s big experiment
In this huge laboratory called earth,
and we’re nothing worth, Or what are we worth
What are we worth in this confusion?
Nothing less than maybe someone’s conclusion

What
What do we do, what are we doing
Good and bad, good and bad indeed
Trial and error, how we succeed

We are the best rats a scientist can have
We are a self-destructive, rat-savage
No matter what age, we are compiled of rage
No need for injections or cage
We try all poison and won’t go anywhere in this confusion
So put on your white robe and come up with the conclusion

Where
Where do we go, Where are we going
Nowhere unless we’re told, (how’s that)
We are laboratory rats with hearts that are cold

And he is laughing, sending lightning
His game, he’s playing is out of rules
Using nature as his tools
And destroying us in trials, we can’t imaging
Itching, scratching, screaming out loud
The only thing we do better then he, is destroying
Ourselves and winning the game
(The whole earth is shattered)
