We Are Not Friends Yet

I look at you from far away…
I think of you secretly
I adore you genuinely
But whenever your eyes meet mine
Shivers chill down my spine
My heart starts beating faster
And the heartbeats become louder
I become numb and speechless
So start looking somewhere else
I feel shy
I don’t know why
May be, it is just that
We are not friends yet….

I wish to ask you out
For a cup of coffee
Or for a long walk
So that I can break the ice
And start to talk
But something just stops me
Guess it is the boundary
Not drawn by anyone else
But by me
I want to know your likes
As well your dislikes
But I feel shy
I don’t know why
May be, it is just that
We are not friends yet

I see you in my dreams
Wherein we are chatting
Under the trees
I intend to approach you
But lack the courage
I hope god hears my prayers
And does the magic….

Poem of the Day

poet Henry David Thoreau

My books I'd fain cast off, I cannot read,
'Twixt every page my thoughts go stray at large
Down in the meadow, where is richer feed,
And will not mind to hit their proper targe.
