We Poem by Vera Sidhwa

We

We

We pranced through the field,
And danced through the forest.
We bounced on the wind,
And on the sand we found rest.

I pushed you up that tree,
And you broke branches three,
And I pushed you up further,
Where I couldn't see.

You were my partner in crime.
A crime so sweet where no one got hurt.
I pushed you in the ocean.
I pushed you into the lake.
All was done for all fun's sake.

You finally made me yours.
We danced forever.
You now ran after me,
Forever and ever.
