Waves At Sunset Poem by JOHNNY COBB

Waves At Sunset

When life is as fast-paced as a swim meet
And you just want to take things real slow
Go listen to the waves at sunset
At Alabama's Gulf of Mexico.

As fishing boats come back to the Bayou
And crab traps are bobbing with the tide
Your world will regain its serenity
And the trip here is well worth the ride.

On the western coast of Costa Rica
Where the Pacific laps at black sand
The sunsets seem to be inspired by
Artistic strokes from a Heavenly hand.

Maybe you'll take a trip to the Swiss Alps
And be mesmerized by glacier fed lakes.
Enjoy the peaceful lapping of the waves
A great place for a picnic this makes.

The waves have such a calming effect
As they gently wash against the shore.
Go listen to the waves at sunset.
Your tranquility will be restored.
