Patiently she waits
wishing time could
heal her scars

Looking in her eyes
I see waterfalls
of stars

She walks each day
behind a curtain
of rain

That soft tissue of hope
to wipe away
her pain

Sometimes she forgets
and she will
wear a smile

Maybe not feel
so faded
for a while

She carries the weight on broken arms
searching her soul
for a place to belong
