Water Droplets Poem by Madhuri Sawant

Water Droplets

Yesterday night I lay awake in my bed,
Spotting the few drops of water on my window pane,
Wondering how water can float on sheet,
As tiny little droplets flowing easily on the thin piece,
Nobody to hold it back, nobody to race with it,
Just flowing smoothly under its own pace,
Under the cool breeze so soothing,
Under the moonlight so striking,
Under the darkness of my eyes,
Under the silence of my ears,
Me being so lonely on a freeze epoch,
I wish if I was a water droplet so tiny yet so stunning,
Paying no heed to others pace,
Just flowing in its own pace.
