Unintelligible Susurration

Watching behind a book

I see him get ahold
Of the book about
Our numerous wars

Oh no!
I do not like wars.
Blood-shed and
constant killing.
It's just not my thing.

Oh joy!
He has reached
For the book
Of World Peace.
In harmony and peaceful.
That is more like it.

I glance his way
Hiding behind
My own book...

He caught me.

Oh no!
He's coming
This way!
I better return
To my previous page
and watch him
from a safe distance.

Poem of the Day

poet Li Po
