Watch out
All you ant squashers
Fly zappers
Spider killers

Watch out
All you snail stompers
Slug salters
Worm slicers

Imagine
Just for a moment
That you are that bug
Watching a dark shadow descend upon you

Try
For a minute
For a bit of remorse
For a bit of regret.

And for goodness sakes
Stop
Squashing innocent
Creatures

Or I guarantee
One day
Something huge
Will come out of space
Through the atmosphere
And not burn up
Past all the other
Animal lovers
Past all of us
Who tried to tell you
Time and time again
It will come
And squash YOU.
