Warning Call Poem by Kitty Marie Lucas

Warning Call

Rating: 4.5

a shattered girl
a faded light
porcelain
it wasn't right

a fragile doll
a warning call
preparing
for a certain fall

give her a little credit won't you?
those vivid eyes that saw straight through
they know more than they ever let on
she warns, yet no one listens
until everything's gone

a pile of shards
a little glue
she'll never
be the same to you

a futile wish
a hope empty
without a change
she won't believe

you are completely oblivious
to the damage you have cost us
they say someday you'll realize
and i pray it's true
but as it stands now
i won't belong to you
