War And Hunger Poem by Zillur Rahman Shuvro

War And Hunger

A hungry boy does need a handful of rice
No need to know what's bad and what's nice.
In pang of hunger when he runs door to door as a runner
No time to know the secrets of Monalisa smile and who's Homer.
From Bangladesh to Ethiopia, the color of hunger is same
Our moral responsibility is to destroy the First World's monopoly game.
They're making weapons and spreading out war here and yonder
Thousands and thousands people are dying like cockroach and spider.
A hungry boy doesn't know who the president of USA and what the UNO is!
He needs only a handful of rice, even no need any holy Angel's kiss.
War is not the manuscript of love and humanity but the title name of hatred
It doesn't make handkerchief of friendship like needle and thread.
Billion Dollars are being thrown into ‘black hole' named war
And behind the devil envoy
Now we should stop war for an old, a heavenly child and a hungry boy.

True poem. Well written. War costs more than hunger but none wants to feed the children.
