War Poem by Joanna Hamilton

War

Cold wind blowing
Birds chirping
Trees dancing
Life everlasting
In a world full of love

The sky crying tears
of sorrow
Bodies all around
The battle has ended
But the war has just begun

Leaves falling
Birds calling
Another year gone by
Life is returning
Slowly but surely
Right before our eyes

The sky is crying frozen tears
Its heart now cold and icy
Winds blow
Blood still flows in
Rivers never ending

The war is over
The last battle won
The dead are buried
As the rain comes pouring down

Cold wind blowing
Birds chirping
Trees dancing
Life everlasting
In a world full of hope
