wandering

I've been seen
wandering
between the twilight and the night
i've been seen
wandering
through moonlit foggy nights
i've been seen
wandering
into the depths of the dark
but dont be keen
if i've been seen
im simply doing my part
im a wanderer
of these earthly nights
but never of the day
i speak no words
so im unheard
in almost every way
so if right now your wondering
why you havent seen me wandering
im not seen to commonly
but if i am you can follow me
i'll take you back into my home
the one place we can be alone
but im not as hospitable as you think
because soon my teeth will sink
and in my house you
will serve as my drink

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
