Wall Flower Poem by Danielle Bettke

Wall Flower

A flower only cries when it rains because no one can comes out to see its beauty.
Flowers need sun, light, fresh air and clear skies,
Because people only appreciate its beauty.
What happens when the flower is cut? Sliced but not killed.
Still alive, still beautiful, still useful,
For how long?
How do people treat it when it's gone?
Being tossed in the garbage, doesn't seem to be enough.
It can be joyful and bright,
Then turn to sadness overnight.
Flowers my not all be smart,
They may not be cute, cuddly, or crazy
But no matter the flower,
A lily, mum, or daisy,

All flowers want to feel alive,
Grow tall, and stand strong
Plant a flower, after all,
It needs a sun to survive.
